Yes yes yes!!! This week I am telling everyone I’m connected to “Hey, I want to be in this room with you in May!” It was scary to say it, because what if everyone else said, “Well, that’s not where I want to be.“? But, I really wanted it, so I had to say it, and every time someone (including YOU 🎉) says “Yes, I want to be there too.“ it feels so freaking good! Here’s to taking the risk and turning the lights on to our dreams.
I can’t wait to run around the park humming, Kara Cutruzulla, songs and making eye contact with some other person who knows what I’m singing and give them a knowing nod because we know in that moment that we both understand how powerful your work is!
I very recently had the opportunity to perform this shift when answering an interview question. Fortunately, the question, "where do you see yourself in 10 years?", was given in writing so I was able to change my initial written response from "I hope to be" to "I WILL be." It felt really good to make that change and to believe it. Thank you for all the giving you've done here on Substack this year. You were the voice that brought me to the platform last fall!!!
