My week's highlights? All of the ADULTING! On top of working on a fulfilling blog post series and working with clients, I had my teeth cleaned, VOTED, got my car's oil changed (and other assorted maintenance), got my COVID vax, updated the "press room " section of my web site, and had a fasting blood test.
(And I'm envious. Our Town is a sentimental favorite of mine.)
[Edited to correct a missing apostrophe. Punctuation is important. ;-)]
The ugly truth is that, deep down, I enjoy spelling, grammar, and punctuation more than I enjoy adulting.
But thank you for acknowledging that; it definitely FEELS like a month's worth of adult tasks. I feel like I should be rewarded with some circa-1985 MTV and the ability to eat unlimited fries without gaining weight. Sadly, the reward for adulting is often more adulting! And then taxes. ;-)
Well doesn't that sound like heaven. Can we throw in a Wendy's Frosty, too? Your adulting stampede makes me want to do the same, so thank you for that!
I've been traveling for the past two weeks and am heading home (between flights as I write this), and I like the idea of containers for work and writing in the coming week.
Love your highlights list, Kara, which is brimming with gratitude.
Highlights this week included working with awesome clients, presenting my How to Conquer Clutter workshop, having one of your friends join us (thank you so much for the connection,) going to yoga class, getting a clean bill of health from an annual doc visit, having lunch with a dear friend, taking several walks along the Hudson River, getting two PR requests (one for an organizing article, one for a podcast interview), seeing one of our daughters IRL and communicating (text, phone, Zoom) with the other, and taking photos of the gorgeous fall landscape.

Julie, this is like a month's worth of adult tasks, I am beyond impressed! Even more so by your devotion to punctuation.

Kara, I attended Linda Samuels' session. It is excellent. Thank you for introducing this session.
This makes me so happy!!!

Containers for the post-travel period sound like a great method for "re-entry." Let me know how it goes!

P.S. Your cat is gorgeous!
What a rich, full, and fulfilling week! Hope the weekend was equally filled with highlights.
