Oh, hi friends! I’m writing this at 4am because we’re wrapping up tomorrow’s big Maisel Musical project. I should be tired but am not, not really? (That 10pm coffee might have something to do with it.) But I’m also reminded of the pure, frantic energy that comes from being so deep in the work that hours pass. I miss that. It’s how we stayed up until 2am perfecting pages at Newsweek while the trucks were waiting to get the final proofs. It’s how a photographer gets lost for hours looking at thousands of moments they brought to life. Or how I imagine an ER nurse navigates a night shift, moving from one patient to another. Or how a computer engineer feels when she’s knee-deep in code.
Um, how is it 4:30 in the morning
Um, how is it 4:30 in the morning
Um, how is it 4:30 in the morning
