You're on a roll, Kara! And your enthusiasm is contagious. I WILL finish the memoir proposal, secure an agent, and get a book deal. Right? If I adopt your mantra, maybe I can manifest it;) I need to dismiss the message I keep hearing: memoirs are impossible to sell. And replace it with: I believe it's going to happen for me.

You better believe you will! I love Michelle's note about looking for abundance...if we only see the reasons why something is hard, impossible, or scarce, that is all we know and will trickle down into our work. We must have CONVICTION. And I believe it's going to happen for you, too.

Thanks for sharing this, Amy! It's so hard to hear about the impossibilities of publishing and allowing it to slow us down. I keep looking for the abundance. Books are published every day, by so many people, and we haven't heard of most of them. So why not you? Keep going! Excited for you!

You're so right. The most encouraging and mind-blowing activity is to actually walk into a bookstore or library and see what has already been done -- it shouldn't be a source of competition, but fuel. These people did it, so can I!

I always seem to find your words at just the right time. Today is the day I'm officially making a plan (if one can do such a thing) to write the second draft of my book, and doubt is trying to get involved. Thank you for your encouragement and positive reminders to keep moving with absurd belief! We can all do it!
