Yay!! “Snuggle closer” the best encouragement and gentle guide to greeting Resistance and inviting it to share what’s going on. No shame, just acceptance and listening. And finding a small way forward 🫶
Wow, I am precisely here right now...I've also been writing about it a little! For me, it's the difference between resistance and percolating. Sometimes I am resisting because I'm unclear on what's next and need to do non-drafting work, and other times I'm just resisting tearing a scene apart because I know it will be hard. Great to read this today!
Oooh yes, great point -- lack of clarity is usually my #1 source of resistance. (Even if the clarity needed is stupid-simple, like, "Where is that draft?") Can't wait to read anything you write about this!

Thanks again for the inspiration! I love your gentle approach to accept and listen. There's always a way forward.

The combination of resistance and reluctance is not new but until your post I didn’t recognize how much these feelings block my work.
Thanks for the insights!
Isn't it amazing how we're all going through the same things? Wishing you a block-free rest of your week!
