Oh, hi friends!
In yesterday’s newsletter I wrote about rekindling an idea or a dream you had years ago.
But then yesterday arrived — and it was a humid, drowsy Wednesday after a holiday.
LOL. What was I thinking?!
I don’t know about you but my brain literally shut off after 2pm. Closed for business. Bye-bye.
There wasn’t any rekindling going on!
And you know what?
It’s all good.
This year, I’ve been trying to think more on a day-to-day schedule. And be a little more free.
Where is my brain and my mood today?
What is *reasonable* to accomplish today?
Adapting is key, but so is realizing that we have permission to start over, again and again.
So maybe we didn’t reignite our previous desires on a sleepy Wednesday.
Maybe we didn’t seize the day!
But we probably ate some good snacks. (I like these Trader Joe’s patio chips.) And we probably moved something forward in some tiny, hard-to-discern way.
And that isn’t small. That’s significant.
Maybe progress isn’t about squeezing the most out of the day, but rather not letting the day squeeze you.
Need a Gentle Push for Your Project?
Speaking of new stuff, my Launch the Plane sessions are now open for July!
These are hourlong one-on-one sessions aimed at helping you liftoff a big project or life change.
Here are some of the people and projects I worked with last month:
A mental health professional writing a book proposal
A tech exec launching a monthly newsletter and community
A journalist looking for advice on pitching and finding a niche
A small business owner strategizing balancing her full-time job and second career
A writer interested in growing her newsletter and prioritizing creative projects
A screenwriter launching a YouTube channel and diving into a new phase of life
I’m also working with a CEO on revising his business book proposal, and a journalist on his newsletter and TikTok strategy!
June was such a fun, inspiring, and energizing month. I love helping people move forward on their most meaningful work.
These sessions are a mix of consulting and coaching, filled with encouragement and making realistic plans.
If you’re interested, book some time with me.
You can also hit reply with any questions!
And whether or not we get to work together this month, know that I’m always, always cheering you on.
YES to patio chips!!! And I love the idea of your liftoff sessions; I've been wanting to do something adjacent but still figuring it out. Glad it's going well for you!
Day-to-day living feels so counterculture. But at the pace of change, and to be the most authentic, it sometimes feels like the only way to live.
