Oh, hi friends!
What’s one thing you considered starting a few years ago?
(Writing a book, starting a business, a career change, learning the flute, downloading Adobe Premiere, singing lessons, making homemade ice cream…oh how the lists go on…)
Does the thing still interest you?
Don’t worry about the “lost years.” Or how good you’d be if only you started back then.
You were busy with other stuff! Also: It doesn’t matter.
But now. Today.
Does it still interest you?
Does it still whisper in your ear?
Take 10 seconds and think about it.
Plant a seed.
Because today works, too.
Today might actually be perfect.
“You cannot believe what a wondrous world is out there after you’ve been in this tiny little cocoon all your life.”
93-year-old Grandma Joy visited all 63 national parks with her grandson, and now they’re heading to the base of Mount Kilimanjaro.
I love this story so much.
The bonding, the dedication, the leap!
Hello and Welcome to Kara’s Extremely Out-of-Date Culture Corner
This music video came out four years ago and got 74 million views.
My eyeballs were not one of those views.
New to me! I like this summer groove. You might, too?
The one thing I considered starting a few years ago? Writing a book. Still working on that. Starting a business. Did that. A career change. More like a meandering path but the writing thing, that’s definitely a new career. Learning the flute – aka remembering how to play the piano – did not hold my interest for long. The road to relearn all that seemed too long and I don’t want to waste time. Lately, though, I have a slight (very, very slight) interest in learning some Korean words. I’ve started a list on my phone. No one else knows about it. Not sure what I’ll do there, but it is fun to think about. Thanks, as always, Kara!
I had not seen that video either, it’s AWESOME!!!!!
