I think I do a lot of under thinking regarding my creative projects. I have the full idea and scope but I under think it so it takes a very long time to become anything real or get any “physical world work” done. It all exists in my mind
Oooh, yes, I get that -- definitely possible to do underthinking on the "micro" work, but overthinking on the "macro" big-picture idea work. It sounds like you think quite a lot (in a good way!) about the entire picture! I'm always here if you need any strategies for bringing that big picture to light day after day. A friend has been encouraging me to break down a one-year goal into 9 months, 6 months, 3 months, and then monthly and daily progress. Wrestling it down takes a little while, but does result in a blueprint to move forward.
I understand!! Curious what you might like to under-think...personally, I'd want to move more quickly to whatever's next. I do a lot of internal debating!
Debating... second guessing... and worst-case scenario-ing. I'll play the thing I want to do out to the worst and most disappointing end. It's a real style cramper.
Dear Kara, There is also "avoid thinking." Margaret
I would LOVE to do that, too!

I don't think I've ever UNDER thought about anything. 😂Kind of wish I could sometimes.

An annoying and helpful question I heard lately is: What if it all works out?
So simple! And yet I rarely allow myself to overthink *that*. Maybe we should try it??
Yes! My iteration is, instead of "what could go wrong?" WHAT COULD GO RIGHT? It's in there. Just need to remember to tap into it.
