What a beautifully generous description of fuel, and essential to thriving. When I expand the definition, as you've done, I can identify some of my fuel drivers. I'm thinking about my morning coffee (even though it's decaf), the feeling of sunshine warming my face and body, the sounds of water trickling, waves crashing, rain falling, time spent with my loved ones, and so much more.

These are such beautiful sources of fuel! (And I can’t help but notice they’re all free!)

Beautiful post. Fuel can be realizing you need real rest and doing absolutely nothing so you can do more later

YES! How long has this taken to learn, and relearn? Let's keep reminding each other for the next 20 years pls.

Oh, Kara, chocolate chip ice cream is falling out of favor, according to NYT writer Matt Richtel. "Vanilla chocolate chip ice cream, once a staple of the ice cream world and one of the top sellers of all time, has fallen out of favor. The flavor can still be found (a closer inspection of the Safeway aisle in this university mountain town revealed pints of Baskin Robbins’s chocolate chip), but it has been losing ground to flavors with more stuff, like cookies and cream and chocolate chip cookie dough."

My dad is a die-hard Brigham's chocolate chip fan. I grew up in the town of the Brigham's factory that is no more. I love vanilla! With chocolate jimmies! Tons of jimmies!

I refuse to accept this. While also acknowledging that I do choose chocolate chip cookie dough quite often (eeek!) gotta stick up for regular choc chip this summer — it’s a mission. With jimmies! Gotta try Brigham’s!

Fuel is you starting to explain an idea you have and someone you trust cocking their head and raising their eyebrows, signalling your brain that you actually have hit on something here.

So random and not quite the right timeline but I reheard "One Week" by the Barenaked Ladies in Trader Joe's last week and the fact that I remembered all the words really brought me back!!
