The best part of my week was hosting my annual New Year's Day party. I get to start the year with a bunch of people I love, and I don't feel pressured to stay up late on NYE. The best of both worlds!
Wonderful!! I also had friends over on New Year's Day and it was the PERFECT start to the year (now that I think of it, did I get this idea from you??).
Manifesting the magic of finding a $3.99 vase and selling it for $100K for this year, thankyouverymuch! Coming back "home" to Paris (for the last time in a while!) to see a rainbow as I approached my door was definitely a bright spot.
Instead of leaving on the 1st, my friends and I leave our annual NYE get together on the 2nd so we have a whole day of just being horizontal and lazy together. This extra day helps me soak up all of their goodness that I'll miss for until our summer vacation together.
Reading your email made my life better right now. Just as I was feeling behind, your words took the pressure off. Thank you for your presence in my life. I'm going to read your email again...
How is it possible we're ending the first week of the new year...already? I know what you mean. It feels like there is so much to do still. We'll get there. And kindness to self is always a good thing.
This week has brought a whirlwind of activity along with a few gentle moments. I'm looking forward to the snow that should be arriving this weekend. I LOVE, love, love the extra quiet a big snow brings. I'm heading out soon to get my reinforcements...soup-making ingredients and some extra things for baking something yummy.
You are too good to me, Kara. Thank you so much for the lovely shout-out about my upcoming workshop on decluttering the chaos and stuff in your life. Your wonderful fans did a lot of clicking on the link you shared and I'm so grateful to you and them. Thank you, my friend.
Have a wonderful weekend! And embrace your wonderful words...be nice to yourself.
For some reason I’m feeling drawn to painting my nails in 2024 (which I haven’t done since... high school, lol). Rolling with this- Olive & June had their kits on sale this week, so picking out polish colors was a bright spot!

This is a wonderful idea! Am going to try to remember to borrow this from both of you next year!
Yes!! Let’s all do it!
I'm in!
Possibly you got the idea from me? I tend to evangelize all my good ideas, haha. Either way, I'm glad you had the perfect start to the year!

I feel this energy for you!! And love that Paris is giving you so many signals of love and joy.

Those moments with longtime friends are the absolute best...what a fun ritual!

This makes me so happy to hear, Mary. Be kind to yourself...all through the weekend, and beyond!
