Kara,

Last week I was wandering through the gift shop at the National Portrait Gallery in DC, and there it was. Front and center. Do It or Don't. It looked like it belonged there. Great job!

Welcome back. :)

You were missed. I am 11 months from retirement from my day job and 3 months into my future (learning Korean for my trip in September) and devoting myself fulltime to being a writer. It feels strange and exciting at the same time. Jan-Mar were growing times for me: decisions were made and now putting actions in place.

What a wonderful and foundational Q1 (as some call it)! I love that you have a countdown and can see real tangible progress being made toward your goals. That mixture of strange excitement is always telling, isn't it? That we're absolutely on a new track...I'm always cheering you on, Diane!

That was me last week also. Could. Not. Even. Deep sigh, and starting a fresh month and fresh quarter 💐

I heard this from so many people! What was in the water? Or the planets?! Grateful for our fresh start though — hope today was a good one for you.

Started strong-ish but got derailed. I had the idea to ask my resistance: what is the message you’re trying to tell me? First answer was to please eat something. I’ve got an important meeting with my nutritionist tomorrow morning so think I’m holding my breath until it’s over.

Anyway, would love to hear your thoughts on listening to what Resistance is trying to say, perhaps in a future newsletter 💕

Welcome back! I am leaving behind touching my phone too much. I have installed an EXCELLENT app called One Sec, that makes me jump through hoops before I'm allowed on my time wasting apps (which it turns out, was mostly whatsapp!). At the least setting, you have to take a deep breath. But I've set it up where I have to answer three questions of Russian vocab AND answer a series of questions about my intentions. Often, I just don't bother (MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!)

UM, THIS IS BRILLIANT. I always, always open the same apps (and websites) without even thinking -- and I don't even ENJOY them, Em! Downloading this immediately.
