Oh, hi friends!
Look here, the rare mid-afternoon newsletter!
I could have skipped it and maybe you wouldn’t have noticed, but on the days I skip there is always a sense of…unfinished business.
That feeling of not doing something I like to do, want to do, need to do, and yet — didn’t.
Because it was too late, or I was too tired, or there are other deadline-driven monsters chewing on my neck, or I don’t have the right words, or —
Well, you know.
You’ve got business, too.
Lots of it.
We all do.
I’m amazed by the juggling and engines and adaptations and big risks I get to witness through this space. (The comments section and responses yesterday were wonderful.)
But mainly, I write this little afternoon note to you, during the drowsiest part of the day, perhaps as a reminder that finishing your business always feels better than the alternative.
Imperfect, late, whatever.
It’s a signal to yourself that you’re in it.
And I know you are.
Thanks for reading and turning this one tiny page with me.
Let me know if you turn one yourself.
There’s still time.
This late afternoon newsletter is the sole reason that I'm sending my newsletter out late this week! Thanks for the burst of motivation, Kara! 🤍
Exquisite timing...
really needed this afternoon spark of energy on a tough project...
