Oh, hi friends!
You know what I love?
When a friend gets a big job interview, prepares for two weeks, and then absolutely nails it.
I love when an underdog finally toes the line, blazes to the finish, and everyone watches and says, “I didn’t know she could do that!”
I also love when a person faces an impossible task: a wave of illness, a wave of grief, any of life's big waves, really, and they somehow emerge on the other side.
We are all capable of rising to the occasion. We've seen others do it; we've done it ourselves.
Who you were before — both your self-perception and the perception of others — is nowhere close to who you are after.
I wonder, then, if you are looking to get somewhere you've never gone, what occasion you can create for yourself?
The occasion, whether a deadline, telling someone else, a private commitment, or more, gets you to leap.
So what bar can you set to encourage yourself to rise?
That I would really love to see.
