Oh, hi friends!
Last week, Colin and I got home after two months away. The first thing I did, after releasing Lula the cat from her cute backpack prison, was rearrange almost every piece of furniture in the apartment.
I turned the bed 90 degrees.
I moved a keyboard, a bookshelf, a huge chair, and a side table.
I repositioned my desk three times until it felt "right."
I hauled my old desk chair to the curb because sitting in it for 30 minutes made my shoulder scream.
Before we left, I hadn't noticed these things — the placement of furniture was settled and little nubs of friction weren't annoying enough to warrant attention.
But I'm glad I noticed them now, and immediately changed things up before I settled into old patterns. (Feng shui TikTok was admittedly an influence, too. Is your desk in the command position?!)
These small, incremental improvements always add up: more ease, more flow, more energy.
And so I wonder…
Where would you like a perspective shift?
And what can you physically move to make that shift happen right now?
The best part is, nothing is fixed.
You can always move everything back if you hate the change!

Too funny, as I've spent the last couple of days mentally trying to re-envision furniture layout in my bedroom, I live with friends, and everything I own is in a 9x11' room, so it's hard to make it actually work, especially because I also have to accomodate the cat litter box!!!
Rearranging from tiny things to large ones creates energetic shifts. And what better way to begin a new season than to shake things up? I'm so happy for you, Kara. Your furniture rearranging sounds like it gave you a wonderful boost.
