Oh, hi friends!
Tough love Tuesday, it’s time for some good old-fashioned accountability.
There are things that I should do right now, but one that I really need (and want) to do.
And yet, it’s not getting done.
Funny how that happens!
So I’ll just tell you about it, with the hope that if I don’t do it by the end today, you might wonder, “Did Kara get to that thing today?”
And if the answer is “no,” I’ll be so embarrassed that I won’t be able to write a newsletter on Wednesday or any other day thereafter and will disappear in a cloud of humiliation.
Here’s the thing: I’m going to make some final edits on a Project and send it along.
That’s it.
Make them, send it.
This should take two hours.
Which means it will actually take four.
But it’s going to feel so good when it’s done.
SO GOOD is the goal.
Do you have a thing right now?
Do you need some good old-fashioned accountability or “shame productivity”?
I’m listening.
Say it, give it a time estimate, double that time, and try to do it today.
I know if I can do my thing, you can do yours.
I saw a sign as I was driving today: "Spring is a time for plans and projects!" I loved the energy that gave me, so yes to having plans and starting or finishing projects. Just think of the S P A C E you'll create when this current project is done.
Hi Kara. I, too, have a "thing." And that would be....my Substack newsletter...
Good luck to us both!
