Oh, hi!
Is it time for tunnel vision?
Or is it time to keep your eye on the horizon?
Tunnel vision, to me, looks like depth. Shutting out noise. Drawing boundaries.
Horizon eyes looks like strategy. Planning and adjusting. Not letting the small stuff get in your way.
Which phase are you in right now?
Which phase do you need to be in?
Could not love this more!
We saw Nope this weekend — gosh it feels good to sit in a cool theater again, doesn’t it? — and after watching this highly original and entertaining film, I came home and started googling “jordan peele creative process,” because that’s an entirely normal reaction.
Good find here on Fast Company:
“It’s very easy for your ego to pop up when it comes to something so close to your heart. I started off in comedy so I know, the ego is the worst enemy for your creative process. There’s so many correct decisions that I wouldn’t have made if a certain stubbornness hadn’t kicked in. So fight for your vision, that’s a really good thing. But know how to present that in a way that’s not linked to your ego.”
Heard you loud and clear, Jordan!
And thanks everyone for such nice responses to yesterday’s podcast about morning routines and deep work! Here it is one more time…
