Oh, hi friends!
I've written before about feedback. Constructive criticism. Collaboration. The ugly thrill of deadlines. How time boundaries help you get more done.
So I just want to say a brief word about…
The Bubble.
The Bubble contains you and your [project / dream / goal / new endeavor].
Inside the Bubble is a quiet place.
There is a little hum — that's your brain running.
But there are no zippy distractions, no outside voices.
You're just…bubblin'.
You and your dream.
You and your research.
You and your idea.
And guess what?
This?
You're actually working. You're moving things around. Turning over rocks. Finding new inspiration.
When all that is happening, when you are buzzing and uncovering new layers of your project, I am begging you: Do not leave the Bubble.
Actually, let me say it louder.
DO NOT LEAVE THE BUBBLE.
When you are still in the Working phase, or the Research & Development phase, the Bubble is priceless.
Yes, it's quiet. Sometimes eerily so.
But that's the whole point.
The Bubble is the place to figure out what you want to do. What you want to say. Where you want to go next.
And even if you feel like it's isolating, The Bubble is good!!!!!
It doesn't come with praise or direction, but you don't actually need that right now. (Bubble is round, where are you going to go anyway?)
Right now, you need to expand your [project / dream / goal / endeavor] to its widest and most buoyant self. You need to work on believing it yourself, before you convince others to believe it with you.
You need to take it as far as it can go.
Later, you can venture outside.
But now, in here, you own everything.
You don't need someone else to tell you what to do.
You don’t need comparisons.
You don’t need measuring sticks.
Use the solitude.
Use the zero stakes.
Love the Bubble life.
"Bubble Life!" Poignant post! It takes disciple to stay in 'bubble' energy but the results are a serious celebration at the end!
Fantastic!
