Oh, hi friends!
It's so weird, pals, the way that — well, I don't want to universalize the experience that a Tuesday after a long holiday weekend is a rough reentry because maybe you had a decent one, maybe your desktop was clear and your brain wasn’t soup and your goals did not appear like Machu Picchu steps, steep and weaving and perhaps not leading to any clear destination, but maybe striving to take you…somewhere? I mention Machu Picchu because the actor Danny Burstein is there and posting delightful recaps on Instagram, which I scroll through, as we often do, imagining ourselves on others' vacations, and because Mr. Burstein is there and his images come across my phone, then the destination is now at the forefront of my mind, which is what happens with social media, the things you scroll past are actually not the past but the things you see in the present, and the things you see inform your hours and your days and your years, so perhaps we should think carefully about what we let in, a cliche thought if there ever was one, but cliches are cliche for a reason because they are hard seeds of truth. Where was I?
Oh yes, if your Tuesday after a holiday weekend was more, say, disjointed than you'd like, then I have a gift for you: Today is new.
I probably could have cut the first paragraph.
Today is new.
Use it, somehow.
In whatever way you can.
I'm so glad you didn't cut the first paragraph!
Love the cat-itude!
