Oh, hi friends!
Flip-flopping my "signature" move today.
No gentle close to last week, but rather a gentle beginning to this one.
We had a full weekend — two shows, a concert, an upstate hike, and other outings! — and now I'm straightening the desk and sorting my task list.
Mmm, quite a few lingerers hanging on, but that's OK.
They will get done.
A few threads to pull and others to tie off, but that's OK, too.
They will get done.
I know they will.
You know they will.
The timeline might not be perfect, and the execution might not be flawless, but they will get done.
We can choose, I think, not to enter the week already feeling "behind" or dropped into the middle of a sprint or playing catch-up.
We can pause, look around, and walk to the starting line.
We can take a beat, and remember we are in control.
And when we’re ready, we can take off with a gentle jog.
We can just start moving.
Exactly the message I needed this morning, you're the best.
Just the ticket, thank you!
