Oh, hi friends!
The beginning of the week looks a little like this.
Lots of marbles, lots of things, which can roll in all sorts of directions.
What happened this week?
You probably picked some up.
You probably dropped a few.
You probably kicked one or two under the bed, hoping they'd disappear.
But a good week, a successful week, does not end looking like this.
You don't want to be left with only one marble.
That's scary. Too much pressure.
You actually want and need options.
So it’s time to set yourself up for next week.
You’re going to ask three things:
What will I commit to next week?
What is important for me to continue?
What is important for me to leave behind?
And now you're going to gather.
The worthwhile project, the good momentum, the possibilities. The wins.
Grab ‘em all.
Oh no. It's another big pile. So many things (again). So much to do (again).
But remember, you chose what could stay.
You chose what to dismiss.
This is how you gently close down the week.
Take a rest and know that you can let them loose on Monday.
Life will roll again.
Your Final Wake-Up Call
And now, presented without reason or context, here’s Rockapella singing one of the most effective jingles of all time: the Folgers song.
The best part of waking up / Is Folgers in your cup!
Have a great morning, Friday, and weekend, my friends.
