You are really good

Oh, hi friends!
When I think of a certain friend, I admire their tireless work ethic.
When I think of another friend, I admire their ability to plan elaborate vacations.
When I think of another friend, I admire their ability to keep ‘scaling up’ in their lives.
When I think of another friend, I admire their fluid writing.
Their creativity. Or their restlessness. Or their hiking skills. Or their dog-parenting skills. Or their kid-parenting skills.
I probably haven’t told most of these people what I admire about them.
And maybe you haven’t told your friends either.
So…doesn’t that also mean your friends admire you for something?
It’s true. You are probably very good at something very specific.
I admire that, too.

“Repeat after me: Time to rejuvenate is equally as necessary as your ambition.”
Apparently, I got very demanding in my latest story for Shine, “Is ‘Expectation Creep’ the Source of Your Stress?”

Looking for a job? Go work with my wonderful friend Sarah Begley over at Medium!
They’re looking for a tech and science books editor, a business books editor, and a personal development books editor. (They really love books.)
Btw, I’ve found Twitter is one of the most helpful resources in job hunting (especially in media, of course). People talk about their work. And if you need something, you have to go where people are talking.
Do you like these daily emails? Please share with a friend!
Thanks, as always, for reading.
Love, Kara
