Three of you is better than one

Oh, hi friends!
Imagine there’s three of you standing in a room.
There’s the you from one year ago.
There’s the you from today.
And there’s the you from one year into the future.
Three of you! How wild!
What would they have to say to each other?
What would they each know?
What would you want them each to know?
(Actually, this sounds like it could be the start of a nicely odd play…)
Think about it.

Staring at stairs. Stairing your stares.

“Because making the tiniest bit of progress proves to yourself that this is a project that has meaning for you. That you value it. That you're thinking about it, and you're moving forward.”
I am quoting myself here because I always need to hear my own advice! When it seems like you’re too busy to move anything forward, it’s time to figure out your ‘now step’ — as in, what can you do right now that won’t take weeks of planning.
Sometimes it’s as simple as making an appointment, writing down someone’s contact info, sending a single email.
It breaks the procrastination pattern, but even more importantly, it reminds you of what you value and reiterates to you that this project is important. More in my Shine piece on how to find your ‘now steps.’

For whoever needs it, Moosti is a handy (free!) online timer that lives in your web browser. I used it mainly for writing deadlines. Pleasingly large and loud enough to scare you into doing.
Do you like these daily emails? Please share with a friend!
Thanks, as always, for reading.
