What does space look like to you?

Oh, hi friends!
Give yourself some space and see what that feels like.
Some space away from the office churn, and the scroll, and the “why didn’t you” and the “but you should”.
A few minutes, an hour, an afternoon.
And just imagine…
What might you think?
What might you make?
Who might you be?

I’m newly friends with the artist Alison J. Stein after she responded to one of my newsletters (I love hearing from people, say hi!!) and now I’m also a new fan of her art, like this cut paper collage, seen here on her Instagram @alisonjnyc.
Another friend has taken up pottery making lately, so I’m thinking a lot about the different forms art can take…and what you, you, you can bring to each one of them, if you try.
“So much of our well-being comes from just trying! Just putting in the time and effort, even when the finish line isn’t in sight.”
I hope one of my favorite people in the world, Alex Jeffries, doesn’t mind me quoting directly from our email exchanges, but his observation was so dead-on and so true to both of our lives that I kinda want to tattoo it on my face. JUST TRYING. Do you think that will fit across my forehead?

Here’s “Stay the Road” by Glen Hansard.
Tired, tired eyes look up and see
All you've done, the path you've come
The things that you've achieved
And when you're doubting
I hope you'll trust in me
Tired, tired eyes look up and see
Do you like these daily emails? Please share with a friend!
Thanks, as always, for reading.
