When you say there’s no time

Oh, hi friends!

But you have 10 minutes today. Somewhere. Go find them.

Write a verse or a paragraph, doodle a drawing, pitch a story, go for a brisk walk around the block.

You’ll feel good, I promise.

Three rules for longevity:

1. Surround yourself with people whose eyes light up when they see you coming. 
2. Slowly is the fastest way to get where you want to be. 
3. The top of one mountain is the bottom of the next, so keep climbing.

On Sunday, André De Shields won his first Tony Award at age 73 for his role in Hadestown. The advice he shared in his acceptance speech was a highlight of the show!

My friend James Hamilton is launching a live show called "America's Next Top Cult" — a comedy competition where comedians pose as future cult leaders and pitch the most inspiring and destructive cults of tomorrow. It's essentially Wild Wild Country meets American Idol, or if Heaven's Gate had to pitch their ideas to Simon Cowell.
