When you’ve got piles all over the place

Oh, hi friends!
Do you have a pile-up?
I feel like this happens when you’re concentrating very deeply on one thing so hard that you don’t notice the piles slowly accumulating elsewhere.
Maybe it’s a digital pile-up (texts, emails, FB invites), a mental pile-up (evergreen tasks that have no real due date), or even a physical pile-up (I see you, pile of shirts next to my bed).
WHY DO THE PILES KEEP GETTING BIGGER?!
They’re going to keep growing a little bit every day. (Just like my falcon babies, who are now walking on ledges.)
So there are two choices:
- Chip away at the piles a tiny bit at a time (at least more than they’re growing) and eventually you’ll be back to zero
- Go on a pile-clearing frenzy and get it all done at once
Depending on your personality, one of these is probably more appealing than the other.
Oh! There’s a third option. Doing nothing and getting swallowed up by the piles and never seeing the sun again. I do not recommend the third option!
Truly in awe of this performer Angelo Soriano from the Broadway musical Aladdin, who as a "swing" has to master 14 parts at once. He might be tumbling around the stage one night and Iago the parrot the next. He's been in 950 performances. How does he still do it?
"You make yourself invaluable,” he says simply.

When the same old words won’t do…
I use a rhyming dictionary and the site RhymeZone when writing lyrics (swear it’s not cheating, everyone does it!), but just came across this site Related Words and love it.
You type in a word and it gives you words related to that specific word or phrase that you probably wouldn’t think of on your own.
This might give me a little pep in my step. Or should I say pep in my...move travel tread stride footstep pace go locomote locomotion measure footfall stair moonwalk…
Do you like these daily emails? Please share with a friend!
Thanks, as always, for reading.
