Worth it?

Oh, hi friends!
It takes a lot to share your work.
Or to ask for help.
I just wanted to acknowledge that here!
It takes a lot.
(But usually, almost always, 99.9% of the time, it’s worth it.)

Thinking of these wise words from last year as I'm in crunch time on a few projects. Abby Haglage is always right, people! (Sometimes I email myself things I want to see in my inbox every day.)
“I feel imposter syndrome constantly. The only time I don’t feel it is creatively, because the characters, the voice, the story, this world — I care for it a lot, having fought for it for so long, sold it and resold it so many places. I’m working on only this right now, 60 hours a week, and it starts airing in July…
At one reading we had last week, there were literally 45 people convening to talk about this little story I had in my head about characters I made up during my day job at a social services agency. That was really surreal.”
Megan Abbott started as an academic before realizing she wanted to be a novelist. (So she kept her day job for 10 years and wrote six novels on the side. *gasp*) Love the honesty in this story.

Andrew Barth Feldman is so good he makes me want to see Dear Evan Hansen again.
