Finding those thrills

Oh, hi friends!
What's the biggest thrill of your career?
Landing a job, negotiating for a massive raise, getting published in a certain publication, finishing a yearslong project, debuting your work to the world?
(I ask because I don't know what my answer is! Maybe it hasn't happened yet?)
But thinking about this one thrill—or maybe a bunch of little thrills—might help you find a pattern to point to what's next.

Sometimes I go outside, too. Central Park has a spring in its step!
"Her mentor was ACT director William Ball, who had a philosophy he called 'positation.'
'The idea was that you say yes to everything,' says Bening, 'and that’s in a creative way and in your own personal life.' A lot of people rolled their eyes, but Bening learned that if positation didn’t necessarily lead to a breakthrough, it might lead to something that would lead to something that would lead to a breakthrough — meaning, you never know.
Acting would be about searching for those gray areas."
Intrigue! From this profile. Annette Bening is on Broadway right now in a (very good) production of "All My Sons."
I like this idea that saying yes can lead to nothing, which might lead to something, and so on. (She later says actors talking about their creative process are dreary, but I want more, more, more!)
What can you say yes to today?

Have I already directed you to the Hamilton Instrumentals? Here they are on Spotify and a giant playlist on YouTube.
I've got about 4,000 deep work-y things to get through so am going to let them wash over my work day.
LET'S GO.
