You got time

Oh, hi friends!
It's 2:52 going into a holiday weekend. Is your mind on hunkering down or hunting eggs? Are you already traveling somewhere — or is your brain en route before your body?
There's still plenty of time to get where you need to go.
Pick a deadline for your day — I'll be done as of 5 p.m. — and then slow down.
One thing at a time until you're finished. Then another thing. And another.
There's still plenty of time.

One of my favorite writers, Caitlin Kunkel, talked recently on Twitter about how she got her creative energy back.
Please read the entire thread!
But here are some highlights: She got more sleep, took classes (even on topics she was only peripherally interested in), read a ton of books including HARD books, watched more movies, produced more things, went to jury duty aka emerged from working-at-home cave — and started writing again to prove to herself she could hit a deadline.
I love all of this advice.

Would you like $15,000 to go on a meaningful journey anywhere in the world? Atlas Obscura wants to make it happen. Tell them about your dream itinerary and what you hope to accomplish — enter here and the deadline is May 1!
How to read more!!! I'm going to start carrying plays around again. (h/t Sara Brumfield)
Things I want to read but haven't yet: Conan talks to Robert Caro, Annette Bening talks "All My Sons", how The Wing founder Audrey Gelman gets it done, a deep dive interview with Robyn, and a chat with Laurie Metcalf, First Lady of American theater.

Thanks, as always, for reading.
