This is exactly how you can achieve great things

Oh, hi friends!
Let's make this quick! Because it's Tuesday! And you have important things to do!
The email you sent eight days ago that she didn't respond to...the delay isn't about you.
The text that went unanswered...
The opportunity that was offered and then disappeared...they're not about you.
Everything can change so quickly, for everyone. Try not to make assumptions.
And if something's really bugging you, why not reach out again and simply...ask?

"To achieve great things, two things are needed: a plan and not quite enough time."
—Leonard Bernstein
We went on an adventure Green-Wood Cemetery this weekend (not morbid at all! there are green parrots and turtles and lakes and it might be the most peaceful place in Brooklyn).
The composer Leonard Bernstein is buried there, and a woman was humming a song nearby. How appropriate!
Later I came across this quote and I thought...yes...that's exactly right. Great things = a plan + not enough time.

Allie Sherlock, a 12-year-old in Cork, Ireland, has 1.5 million followers on YouTube and a killer voice. Of course Ellen scooped her up for an appearance on her show, and Allie recently signed a five-year, three-record deal with Ryan Tedder. AMAZING. Make your work, show your work. Here she is singing "Shallow." (h/t Brother Eric)
