House hunters
Oh, hi friends!
I’m pretty sure I’ve written about the townhouse that I can see out my window, the one that was gutted down to a skeleton, and which a team of workers slowly built back up, brick by brick.
It’s fun to watch a house being built.
Are they putting in a skylight? Is that an elevator?!
Of course, there is so much that I can’t see going on inside.
Did they choose the appliances yet? What color are the bedrooms? Who’s about to move in?
It reminds me of the work we see created by others.
You walk by and get a good look at the facade — the perfect pointing on the bricks, the charming stoop, the podcast interview, the big award.
But someone spent hours and weeks and months building what now looks so impeccable. Overcoming obstacles you will never see.
Give credit to the builders.
Because you’re one, too.

Day Two of the Four-Gosling Streak
In case you missed it, yesterday I co-opted these adorable baby geese into a New Productivity Tool. Lol.
But seriously, I said I would commit to a four-day streak of…something. (My thing is writing pages.)
And you know what? I actually did it. Five new pages! Maybe because I told you all about it, maybe because I had a wide swath of time, maybe because I co-worked with my friend Aliza who was working on a project *she* enjoys, or maybe because I had those little goslings in the back of my mind.
Thanks to everyone who replied and said they started their own mini streaks. On to day two!
Do you like these daily emails? Please share with a friend!
You can also support my work by checking out my motivational journal, Do It For Yourself, designed to guide you through your creative and work projects, and my upcoming journal Do It Today, which encourages you to find time for the things that matter most to you.
Thanks, as always, for reading.
Love, Kara
