Because you can’t go on like this

Oh, hi friends!
I just shoveled a pack of tiny Reese’s peanut butter cups into my face for breakfast. (Don’t worry, the banana protein smoothie sitting untouched next to me will cancel it out.)
Last night, I was dead tired. Really dead. Really tired. So dead tired I fell asleep on the couch (only my second time this year! I’m getting better!) and didn’t back for the trip I’m taking in, oh, four hours.
But now, BOY OH BOY, AM I ALIVE.
So maybe this is an ode to Reese’s or maybe this is a suggestion to listen to your body when it tells you you need a break. Existing in a low-level burnout state means the stuff you’re getting done probably isn’t even good, and it’s all taking you longer than it should anyway.
So get the rest that you need. (Eat some Reese’s.) And soon you’ll be ALIVE.

Mary is amazing! Write on, write on, write on.
