How many coffees is too many coffees?

Oh, hi friends!
I am way, way, way over-caffeinated right now. I always buy a large coffee because it seems more meaningful somehow. Like holding it communicates that I mean business. That I’m about to really work.
And I do work. And I sip it long past being hot. Or even warm. Because I’m committed, dang it. I bought this large coffee and I’m going to drink it.
Maybe there's some advice in here about finishing what you started, or reaching for a big goal, or even the dangers of your eyes being bigger than your stomach.
Or maybe it’s as simple as this: Do what you need to do in order to do the work. Caffeine jitters and all.

Romanticize the process all you want.
But you still need to put your fingers on the keys!
“Before you can say you’re a writer and mean it, first you must believe you’re a writer.
I know I’m a writer now. But I didn’t always know it. When I was growing up in a small town, I’d flip to the back of every book I read, searching for the author bio. Harvard, it would say. New York, it would say.
That wasn’t me. I came from a small town of loggers and teachers. I didn’t live in a world where books were made by small people like me. I didn’t know yet I was reading the wrong books—that there were books out there for me.”
True story: I didn’t start calling myself a writer until maybe…three years ago? Before I was…an editor. An intern. A freelancer. But this beautiful essay articulates how important it is to believe what you are—and then say it aloud and often.

Sometimes you just need to listen to something that’ll make you feel good, you know? The classically trained flautist, singer, and rapper Lizzo somehow wasn’t on my radar until I read this incredible profile. And now I’m loving her new ‘80s-inspired music video for “Juice.”
If I'm shiny, everybody gonna shine (Yeah, I'm goals)
I was born like this, don't even gotta try (Now you know)
I like chardonnay, get better over time (So you know)
Heard you say I'm not the baddest bitch, you lie
Go forth with the confidence of Lizzo today.
