Freeing up your day

Oh, hi friends!
What is your least favorite thing to do during the week? Cleaning? Commuting? Cooking? All of the above?
Is there a way you can pay someone to do this thing for you? Even if it's expensive, would that trade-off be worth it to you? Your wallet may be lighter, but your plate will be less full—and you can fill it with something even more worthwhile.

THREE SIMPLE WAYS TO AVOID CRITICISM:
1. SAY NOTHING
2. DO NOTHING
3. BE NOTHING
“In the end, if you’re going to attempt something, you’re going to get criticized for it. And the higher you reach, the more intense will be the criticism. If you let it inhibit you or deflect you from your own intentions, then it becomes destructive.
So take it for what it’s worth to you, and use it to the extent it resonates with you (and ignore those aspects of it that don’t). It’s not fun to be criticized—I certainly speak from experience on that account.
But I would rather have the work that I’ve done and the criticism it has engendered than have neither.”

If you’re a perfectionist who’s finding it hard to put your work out into the world, reread the above. I would rather have the work that I’ve done and the criticism it has engendered than have neither. I'm working on a researched memoir about dealing with my father who has early-onset dementia and I'm looking to speak to other people under 35 going through the same experience. Anyone interested in sharing their experiences can email me at carmella.guiol@gmail.com
