A question for you
Oh, hi friends!
Hello, Monday. My favorite day of the week! (This is true. Fresh beginnings, and all that.)
What are you thankful for right now? This very moment.
Hit “reply” if you’d like and I’d love to compile your responses for Wednesday’s newsletter. Add your name and location if you’d like those included. It doesn’t have to be a “big” thing. Or it can be. It can be whatever you want.
(Right now, I am thankful for Luna the African grey parrot who lives in the wine store down the street from me. She's one of a kind!)
I would really like to know.
Brian Koppelman (screenwriter + co-showrunner of Billions) has some wise advice, which also extends to friends and strangers. It's so exciting to share an idea in its early stages—as long as you're not waiting for someone to tell you it's good. Protect yourself, my friends.
You know I'm a latecomer to The Greatest Showman soundtrack. So late, in fact, that an entire year after its release they’ve dropped a “reimagined” soundtrack with songs sung by Pink, Kesha, Zac Brown Band, and more. Been listening to Keala Settle, Kesha, and Missy Elliott’s remixed version of “This Is Me.” Here’s the lyric video. They can’t stop you or block you or mock you / They mad ‘cause you bad and they not you. I love when people squish an existing creative idea into a completely new one that's even better. Let's all squish away!

Thanks, as always, for reading.
