the good thing about Mondays
Oh, hi friends!
There’s a tone to our days. Something goes awry in the morning and you might feel it for the next few hours.
This is probably why there’s so much reading material about morning routines. “Do these five things, and you’ll be just as smart and successful as your idol!!”
But the tone of your day can be set with much smaller actions. A five-part checklist is nice, but usually all we need to find is one positive moment. Reading a few pages of a book, getting a kind word from a coworker, doing that lingering task because you have the most energy in the morning and why not, it’s there. Simply getting out of bed on the first ring of your alarm.
One thing.
Something small.
Welcome in your Monday.
This sounds so...liberating?
Something strange happens when you’ve been looking at a project for years (or if it’s been sitting untouched for years...).
Maybe you didn’t find out what was really going on until you got to the end. Or maybe one character or thread took over, and now they demand to be heard in a different way.
The consensus in the replies is that starting over is freeing.
There are no rules.
