My best travel tip for you
Oh, hi friends!
Here’s my best travel tip for you:
Wear the same outfit—and take the same bags—every time you fly.
With so many things to think about, you really don’t want to deal with a clingy shirt or shoes that are hard to remove or a jacket that makes you sweaty. I wear the same gray T-shirt, light jacket, jeans, trench coat, and shoes every single time and yes, it makes me a very boring person! I am OK with that! And I also always carry a little backpack with my laptop, water bottle, electronics, etc. Because I’ve used it on a few dozen trips, I know exactly how much stuff I can shove in there, like the sack lunch my Mom packs me when I fly back to New York after Christmas, or the three plays I cart around and hope to read.
Consistency!
Ah. Oof. This one got me! From Brian Koppelman, co-creator of Billions and host of the excellent podcast The Moment.
There’s a good reason over 7 million people have watched Andrew Rannells performing “I Believe" from The Book of Mormon at the Tony Awards quite a few years ago. Still holds up.
