What do you want to be known for?
Oh, hi friends!
What do you want to be known for?
My answer is different than yours. Yours is different from your coworker’s.
You might not have a one-sentence answer. It might be easier to answer its opposite (what do you not want to be known for?).
But when you think about your actions, your time, and your engagement this week, it’s a crucial question to ask.
Is what you’re doing aligned with what you want to be known for?
Why? Or why not?
And can you nudge your day in the right direction?
What do you want to be known for?
OK, this is a little mean but it’s also excellent writing/creative energy fuel??
You can do anything.
This Feels a Little Too Real
If you’ve got ‘em, I highly suggest taking four minutes to watch this short film Infinite Scroll — it's an existential sci-fi dramedy, which is all I'll say for now.
Starring my bro Eric Cotti and Elissa Klie, written and directed by Michael V. Brown, and produced by Trav Burgess, it made the rounds at a bunch of virtual film festivals last year. (And feels even more timely now...)
Their new project is the upcoming feature Hayseed, which I mentioned a few weeks ago — they’re currently raising investment funds on Wefunder! Give it a look if you'd like to be involved.
But really. Watch the short. It might even make you stop the scroll.
PS — Happy birthday, Grandpa! You’re 99 today. NINETY-NINE. A hero for us all. I love you very much.
