How you can ‘level up’ right now
Oh, hi friends!
It’s hard to “level up.”
It means saying no to what comes easily.
Trying things that are harder.
Failing at those harder things.
Trying the harder things again.
Incremental improvements.
More failure.
Saying no to comfort.
Saying yes to uncertainty.
It means being brave.
But when you’re at the next level, I suspect—and this is just a guess—that it will all be worth it.
That’s leveling up.
“Some people think I run because I can, but that’s backward,” says Rogers from his home in Dallas. “I can because I do.”
Orville Rogers is a 100-year-old runner. (Just check out that adorable picture of him with his medals!) I love his mindset so much — he just does it. This cover story for MONEY has everything: a 100-year-old yoga teacher, talk about living well, the future, and how to plan your best retirement ever (although I’ve never actually thought about retiring? *gulp*). These retirees are inspiring!
“Start Me Up” is one of my favorite get-up-and-go songs, but watching this video of Mick Jagger with the sound off is pretty amusing, too.
