Tackling the envy monster
Oh, hi friends!
Every minute spent on envy is a minute not spent creating.
But don’t blame the minutes that are already gone. There are many more to come.
Look around at others to find inspiration, encouragement, a blueprint.
But cast aside the desire to have what they have.
Because you do not want the same things.
You want — and will receive — what is right for you.
Every minute spent on envy is a minute not spent creating.
“Instead of having the freedom to pick people you have things in common with…you’re doing things with people you don’t have things in common with, and maybe that’s a good thing.”
I was charmed by this New York Times article, “My Neighbor, My Pandemic Pal,” especially living in a city where proximity didn’t matter quite so much when it came to friendships (thank you, subways)…until now. And I was reminded of how much we can learn when we step outside our immediate groups of friends or families — and how much we might have to share with others.

If You're Caring for Someone with Alzheimers or Dementia...
Here’s a note from my friend Melissa Smith-Wilkinson about a situation relevant to so many people...
If you know of a caregiver of Alzheimers and other dementia, would you consider gifting this free online retreat to them on January 29? This nonprofit is helping caregivers rediscover who they were before they took on that role by teaching wellness and mindfulness tools. And it’s all free for caregivers. Go here to learn more.
You're not alone.
