What are you sacrificing right now?
Oh, hi friends!
I’ve had some interesting talks lately about sacrifices versus choices.
It seems to me that two different messages are attached to these words.
A sacrifice communicates a sense of loss or regret. You give up something to, hopefully, gain something else.
A choice, on the other hand, feels much more deliberate. There’s a sense of taking ownership.
Which of these feels more aligned with your brainspace right now?
I’m sacrificing X so I can do Y.
I’m choosing X so I can do Y.
Because the more deliberately we frame our actions, the more we can live with them.
Ooooh. Are you in tune with the infinite?

I've always been a fan (despite never having seen one of his films....), but Kevin Hart really delivers on Oprah’s Master Class podcast.
This video of a guy biking from Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn to Union Square in Manhattan is both mesmerizing and terrifying. I want to go through my week with the same sense of drive, direction, and fearlessness...without breaking any laws, of course. (h/t Carl Zurhorst)
