Revisiting the project you put on the shelf
Oh, hi friends!
Are you not revisiting your project because you think it’s bad?
Do you think if you open up that doc or reread a line or check out that score or flip open that textbook the truth will be revealed? That you’ll finally have hard evidence that you were faking it all along, and time simply found you out?
Okay. That is one (very unlikely) possibility.
But the other possibility is that you’ll be reminded of why you started in the first place.
You’ll see the time you’ve already spent, a line or two you really love, and how to make it all better.
Your project isn’t bad. But abandoning it might be.
I’ve spent about 72 of the last 48 hours on Twitter (not a typo) so I was glad to finally come across something that made me smile this much. Sweet Twitter! If that’s not inspiration to ~send the email~ I don’t know what is.
If You Need a Rhyme
The BMI Advanced Workshop is in session which means I’m writing songs again which means I need good rhyme inspiration again. Maybe you need rhymes, too? Or maybe you need a reminder that there’s a website for everything. (I use Wikirhymer and Rhymezone!) Ron and I are presenting a new (revised) song tonight, wish us luck!
(Those words are only 1/10th of the rhymes for motivation, btw.)

Thanks, as always, for reading.
