closing down the week
Oh, hi friends!
This has been a week.
That’s what I’m hearing from friends, strangers. That’s what I’m feeling myself, too.
But you get to choose silence if you need it. (Even if it’s only a fraction of time.) You get to step out of the tornado. You can go for a walk. (Even if it’s a short one.)
The news and your work and many demands will still be there.
But in the meantime, as the minutes go by, you can choose.
“Everything is figureoutable.”
This is the name of Marie Forleo’s new book, but it’s also simply a true bit of advice. There are fixes, advice manuals, how-tos, and people to ask to solve virtually every problem. Isn’t that soothing?! What can you figure out today?
I used to watch a lot of movie trailers and just remembered why: It gives you something to look forward to! Excited to see the long-awaited Aaron Sorkin film The Trial of the Chicago 7, on Netflix October 16.
