We’re almost there
Oh, hi friends!
Steady, steady.
We’re almost there.
One more weekday.
And then, maybe, on the weekend you’ll look at the phone a little less. Sleep a little more. Lower your shoulders. Step outside yourself and the messy weekday brain. Just one step, maybe two. It’s not delusional, it’s a necessity.
Try, try.
We’re almost there.
“If you don’t live it, it won’t come out of your horn.”

Looking Back on January Thoughts
At the beginning of the year, I sat down with one of my dearest and most inspiring friends, Aransas Savas, for a Zoom chat about taking bold leaps, making bets on ourselves, asking “what’s the worst that could happen,” and more topics we always loved exploring on our weekly runs together.
It’s surreal to watch this now after so much has happened in 2020 — I hope you might find some value in our optimistic talk on her wonderful YouTube channel Live Up.
And while you’re reading this email, I’ll be on my first run with her in six months! Happy day!
Weekend Entertainment Alert!
My friend Chelsea J. Smith is starring in an innovative Zoom production of Tape by Stephen Belber, which the playwright specifically adapted for the medium. (You might know the play from the film adaptation starring one of my favorites, Ethan Hawke!). They’re running through the weekend (with more dates coming in November) so please check out what this talented cast is doing night after night. Tickets cost $9 — and Monday’s show is free! — and are available here.

You can also support my work by checking out my new motivational journal, Do It For Yourself, designed to help you through your creative and work projects.
Thanks, as always, for reading.
