Getting in the door a different way
Oh, hi friends!
There’s no single way in.
You can go up, around, over.
You can dig a tunnel.
You can walk through the door.
You can drill a giant, person-sized hole through the door and go in that way.
But unless you’ve tried all the options — and it’s impossible to try all the options — don’t keep politely knocking if no one is answering.
Try something new.
There’s no single way in.
“The older I get, the greater power I seem to have to help the world; I am like a snowball — the further I am rolled the more I gain.”
—Susan B. Anthony—
I'm gonna change the “I”s to “you”s in this quote and write it in every birthday card I send forever.
Fixing the Small Things
Clatter. Clatter. My razor kept falling in the shower. How many times did it hit the tile before I realized, Oh, wait, there’s probably a way to fix this? Uh, maybe a hundred?
So the other week I bought these razor holders for eight bucks. Who knows, it might stop sticking or be complete garbage, but all I know is now I have one less little annoyance in my day. And I am THRILLED.
Got a small thing that’s been low-level bugging you? Take 10 minutes and see if there’s a fix for it. I promise you'll feel great.
