You should just put it out into the world
Oh, hi friends!
Quick little lesson from yesterday:
I had three major things to do.
Two were time-sensitive.
One has been hanging over my head for seven weeks.
With the last one I thought, it’s truly now or never.
(It involved gathering names and addresses of contacts, lots of little tasks but zero critical thinking skills required.)
So I did it?!
It took half the day, but now it’s 95% done.
And all that pressure from the past seven weeks is gone, too.
Do you have something similar that you can start today?
"Before this year I probably would've overthought when to release this music at the 'perfect' time," Swift wrote in her message announcing the album.
"But the times we're living in keep reminding me that nothing is guaranteed. My gut is telling me that if you make something you love, you should just put it out into the world."
As you’ve probably heard, Taylor Swift “pulled a King Lear” (in the words of my friend Delia Cai) and wrote and produced an entire album in the last few months. I haven’t listened yet, but I was moved by this statement.
You should just put it out into the world.
(Thanks Marissa Tarbell for sending her quote my way and making my day!)
One minute of a tiny fuzzy baby creature for you.
