Already feel behind? You need time chunks
Oh, hi friends!
Oh, look, it’s happening again. Barely past 10 a.m. and already feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day.
How?
Scarcity mindset can happen with almost anything: Not enough money, not enough friends, not enough coffee left in the pot.
But time scarcity feels, to me, the most controllable.
So here’s an old favorite I’m going to use today.
If I already feel behind but the day is stretching before me, I like to think in chunks:
Let’s start with 10:14 to 11: I’ll finish this newsletter, pull up the stories I need to work on today, start reading one.
From 11-12, reading will inevitably turn to editing so I’ll finish that story and send two work emails.
12-1, I’ll sandwich in some administrative stuff. (Mmm, sandwich.)
Between 1-2, I'm gonna do an interview so let’s set aside that time for a chat and lunch.
And so on. Wait.
The day actually feels long again?
Time chunks!
The best way to take your day back before it’s even begun.
No. 1 reason why you unsubscribe from emails:
Cynicism or negativity. They don’t need a personal invitation to my inbox.
This is from a fun interview with Corina Leslie I did for ZeroBounce! We went deep on email. I shared my pet peeves, favorite newsletters, and the best way to grow your email list (answer: write consistently!).
Word of the Day
Don’t forget to chunk your time!
Do you like these daily emails? Please share with a friend!
Thanks, as always, for reading.
Love, Kara
