Ocean thoughts
Oh, hi friends!
I went in the ocean yesterday.
The funny thing is — as anyone over the age of two knows — the waves never stop.
There are little ones that pool at your knees. Bigger ones that tug at your shoulders. Scary ones you don’t know whether to bob over or dive under.
They bear down, again and again.
You quickly learn which you can handle. You’re surprised to find the answer is: All of them.
Finally, when the sun is too hot and the water too warm, a scary wave becomes your savior, and spits you back on the shore.
You turn and think, those don’t look so bad, that wasn’t too hard — and you vow to return, again and again.
This is a crazy truth!
My "trick" for July is to choose literally one deadline. Ignore the others until you’re done. This isn’t the time to spread yourself thin.
