What to do when you're in a rut
Oh, hi friends!
Getting by is necessary.
Adapting to new circumstances is good.
Leveling up is best.
If something’s not working, look up. See all that empty space way up there? Maybe you’re not thinking high enough. And maybe there’s room for you up there, too.
Think bigger.
How can you level up today?
RULE SIX:
Nothing is a mistake. There’s no win and no fail, there’s only make.
RULE SEVEN:
The only rule is work. If you work it will lead to something. It’s the people who do all of the work all of the time who eventually catch on to things.
From 10 Rules for Students, Teachers, and Life by John Cage and Sister Corita Kent. They’re so good they’re all worth reading.
How Often Do You Think About Money?
Probably a lot? Probably more than you realize? Especially now? I’m working with my friend Adam on a new personal finance site called NextAdvisor, launched in partnership with Time. Lots of expert advice over yonder on budgeting, emergency funds, and what to do with your money now. We launched last week — give it a look! And if there’s something you think we should cover, I’d love to hear about it.
