Oh boy, the Maisel musical is here
Oh, hi friends!
Who were you on February 25?
You are you today on June 25?
You might be surprised by the difference.
“I like to start the next day with six miles under my belt.”
David Sedaris is a compulsive walker and he’s recently been walking up to 20 miles a day in New York (many of those after midnight). This charming interview made me want to reread some of his essays and also get outside ASAP.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Musical Is Here!
Oh boy! Here are three songs Ron Passaro and I wrote this year for our adaptation of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel in the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop!!
Usually the year culminates in live Final Presentations, but since we’ve all been locked down in New York, we sent music to some extraordinary performers and made everything happen over video.
And thanks to hundreds of text messages, dozens of WeTransfer uploads, Ron’s late-night editing skills, and especially these superb singers — the remarkable Caitlin Collins a.k.a. Midge roped in her entire family!! — it all came together! And in a nice twist of fate, now we get to share it much more widely than in the room.
We hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed making it.

Thanks, as always, for reading.
