Finding a reason to work toward anything right now
Oh, hi friends!!
“What’s the point?”
It’s something we can find ourselves asking a lot right now — about things we’re doing (or not), plans we’re making (or not), and promises we’re keeping (or not).
What’s the point of writing musicals when Broadway will be closed for the next six months? What’s the point in running if there are no races? What’s the point of working on a TV pilot when nothing’s filming? And on and on.
But...
The end was always far away. The joy of it — the fun of it — used to come in working towards the end.
That’s still possible.
We can remember why we started.
We can keep going.
And maybe we can find a new ending along the way.
Choose one, choose all. Take a day off. But good pillars to come back to.
(Today I’m shooting for numbers 3, 5, and 6.)
